Rather than ask people on a forum who know nothing really about that particular car, why not ask the seller if you can take it to your trusted mechanic for an independant inspection? Your mechanic will be able to tell you whether or not the car is a good buy.

I totally agree with Adam why are you posting in a forum instead of consulting a mechanic.Still as you have asked I am attaching a link along with this post, go through it.Hope it will help you.

Yes, I completely agree with Adam. If there is someone who could tell you if the car is okay or not is your mechanic. I am sure that the owner will give you the privilege to check the car first before buying it. It is your right so you can go ahead and have it checked. I think the physical aspect will just come after the condition of the motor and all.

It is important that you first check out the car before you buy it. If you could bring the car in a mechanic then that would be much better. You do not want to buy a not so good car, right? Or better yet, try to bring with you someone who is knowledgeable about cars whom you can ask advice also. Anyway, good day to all of you guys, ciao.

I agree with most of the people here that asking people's opinion in a forum whether that car is good for you is not a great idea. It's your mechanic who can tell you if it's a good buy or not. Unless if you want to show off, that is.

Anyway, you have to carefully inspect the car that you want to buy if it is second hand. For all you know, it already has a lot of hidden defects.
