| If it weren´t for lubricants! If it weren´t for lubricants, where would we be? A car´s engine is one of the mayor producers of friction worldwide.Just see what happens when your engine runs out of oil. Disaster! I had it happen to my Kia a few weeks ago. My mechanic says that you should put the vry best libricant in your engine, no matter what the cost! One thing happens after the other, but the main effect is the heat friction creates. Your gaskets start going down the drain. The rubber parts, like hoses start melting. That same mechanic says that you should change your oil while it could still be used for another car. In other words, with all its power to lubricate. Words to the wise! |
| I must admit that the first thoughts I had when reading the title of this topic were completely different than what you wrote about, and I was wondering what that post was doing in this forum, but then I realized you were talking about CARS, and I let out a sigh of relief. Anyway, it was funny enough to me that I though I should share it. You might want to title your threads a little more carefully. |
