Comment #1 Jerod (63.176.159.212) - I've heard the cops are very tricky in Minneapolis, they hide and wait to pull you over. Comment #2 Isis (63.176.159.25) - I don't think that is strictly just for Minneapolis, but yes they are pretty stinky. I think it should be illegal. Isn't there such as thing as entrapment? Comment #3 Jake (63.176.159.185) - Wow! Road racing... Sounds cool. It should be done down a lonely country road in order to avoid accidents, am I right? Got to take care of the bretheren. Take care of yourself also. Comment #4 Eve (63.176.159.39) - Street Racing in such a big city doesn't make much sense when there are sanctioned events going on all the time. If your skill is up to par you shouldn't have a problem with a sanctioned race. Comment #5 cwemoy (63.176.159.132) - I bet any street race should be a sight to behold. If done under the right and legal process, why would cops care to pull you over? I bet the country roads would be the best to race in. Again, young people are prone to getting into brawls so it is good to have the men in blue just near the corner. Comment #6 Eve (63.176.159.1) - One major reason why street racing is illegal because most times you can't tell when someone who's not a part of the race is going to end up in the picture. Likely, in a bad way. So, to avoid these hazards is why it's illegal, but that doesn't mean that it shouldn't be allowed. There should be sanctioned races in isolated streets or abandoned complexes and so forth. There are many ways around it. Comment #7 pale_o (63.176.159.91) - Just wondering, did anyone ever care to give a vivid picture of street racing in Minneapolis? I bet any street race would need any close supervision. Comment #8 Eve (63.176.159.119) - I have no clue about the street racing scene in Minneapolis. I am a big fan of many types of racing, however and I would love to know a little bit about that scene over there. I am certainly sure that as any other nitrous pumping, heart pounding street racing circuit, it is going to be such an exhilarating sight to behold. Comment #9 Natascha (63.176.159.50) - Stupid question: Comment #10 cwemoy (63.176.159.46) - Natascha, I am sure that would be one of the problems. That is not the end to it though..many people might get into brawls and cause unrest of some kind. I know rival gangs are common with such races and if uncontrolled, they can easily have a bad ending especially the ones that have lots of teens. Comment #11 braun (109.111.97.214) - I have witnessed a couple of street races before, and they had all been very magnificent experiences to me, indeed. I am fond of all levels of it, and this is why it is that I simply cannot get enough out of of a good street race, not at all. • Page 1 (Original Post) •
